RACING TIPS

*    Always brake in a straight line! If you do not, the Kart may spin.
Go karts have rear brakes only!

*    Brake early and accelerate early. IN SLOW OUT FAST. If you go in too
fast you will come out SLOW, and then slide to a near halt. You will then
have lost all your momentum and lose valuable time.

*    Use up the entire track in each corner; (creating the largest radius
arc possible) from the widest part of the track going into the corner,
across to the inside of the corner (apex) and then back to the outside of
the track on your exit of the corner. This will give you maximum speed.

Q: What’s the difference between Jacques Villeneuve and a bus driver?

OUR SAFETY BARRIERS

All other indoor kart tracks in Australia use tyres as protective barriers
because old tyres cost nothing.

GO KartSport Racing decided to spend over $150,000 designing and building an
innovative barrier system that maximises safety and space. Our barriers are
designed so that the kart slides along the barrier at the point of impact
and there is far less risk of tipping over. In the unlikely event a kart
should hit the barrier head on, there is flexibility built into the barrier
system to cushion the impact. GO KartSport Racing unique barriers not only
means greater safety, but also less disruption to on track activity, more
enjoyment for drivers and more room on the track!

Our Protective Clothing

Every driver at GO KartSport Racing wears a full-face race helmet and balaclava just like professional race drivers wear.

The balaclava is discarded for wasing after every use. At GO KartSport Racing you don’t have to worry about someone else’s perspiration or odour in your helmet.

Drivers are also provided with clean Sparco race suites, the choice of many top race drivers. The Sparco suits are padded for comfort.

Our Marshals

All our duty manager and marshals are fully trained in procedure and supervision of on track activities. At all times there is at least one marshal in attendance who is qualified in first aid.

Our DDK policy

We enforce a Don’t Drink and Kart policy. We only serve alcohol to guests after their races.
